Project Umang Updates

Umang is continuing to make progress with 27 students in the work training unit. The training duration varies from 2-3 years and the students progress across three groups, a beginner groups doing the simple work, and intermediate group and an advanced group doing the finer work. Several leading boutiques in Jaipur and Udaipur, Rajasthan, are putting up the crafts made by the students up for sale. Exhibitions and sales have been organized at places like the Diggi Palace in Jaipur and the Udaipur City Palace. Also as part of the training, an hour everyday is devoted to real-world education where concepts like money, time management, measurements etc. are taught through a lot of practical examples.
